As exotic makers moved to paddle-shift and dual-clutch gearboxes, the manual became rare. For many collectors, a manual is now the most desirable version of a model, especially an open-gate shifter.

Before you buy
Confirm the gearbox from the build sheet and the VIN, check clutch wear and records, and be wary of conversions presented as factory manual cars. A specialist inspection is essential.
